The Culture

I don’t have any idea who these people are, or what teams they’re actually playing for. It makes no difference. I post it simply to illustrate the slow death of western culture at its very root. It speaks for itself.

Did I see that correctly, the guy in blue pinched the guy in red, who then fell to the ground writhing in "agony"?

If so, well, you said it.

As far as I can tell, and I think is the whole point of why the video was posted on YouTube, the guy in blue barely touches the guy in red, and the guy in red dramatically fakes injury.

Perhaps "death of culture" is a bit much, but it just makes me sick to realize there exists people who think so little of themselves as to do something like that for the sake of garnering a penalty kick.

Ans that in itself is a whole other topic. Who wants to score points and win by means of penalty kicks? I gather that lots of soccer matches are decided that way these days.

    Soccer sucks.

Is this about the foul committed, the dive pepetrated, or the fact that football/soccer plays such a huge role in our society. The moment anyone decided that it would be a good idea to let grown men get all worked up over a bunch of overpaid pretty boys kicking a ball around a field was the first day of the end in my opinion. Football/soccer is stupid and is a mark of how far we've still got to go.

At first I thought the guy in red just flopped, but on closer inspection it seems the guy in blue got in a hard shot to the solar plexus which could definitely put one down.

That's certainly unsportsmanlike, but I think unsportsmanlike conduct can be traced back to the ancient greeks.

That's what I thought I saw at first Rich, but now I think I see that blue nailed red good with an elbow to the sternum just before red falls. I don't think red is faking, I think he's hurt.
