    I really don't think that's the issue. There could be circumstances in which I would shock someone, or put a bullet through them.

    The distinction is that it would be exclusively at my own authority: based upon my perception, integration, and evaluation of facts — not because someone in a white coat, backwards collar, cap & gown, pressed suit, or any other fashion or office told me to.

    Human Nature is really strange, I want to believe I would never shock someone with electricity or do anything like that. Scary!

    I guess I was commenting from the perspective of someone being put into an experiment like this and then as you say in your post "We" failed again….I wouldn't want to fail under those circumstances….In my world, thank god devoid of men in white coats, I to could see myself making "shocking" decisions…When put into those experimental groups though human nature does sometimes surprise us.
