Torture Pigs

Don’t you dare have a few drinks at a wedding (watch the video). Do you understand how this single mom’s life has been irrevocably harmed for the rest of it? Listen to her. How many times will she have to relive that dread and horror over the space of her life? And for what? Who did she hurt? It’s not even worth using expletives anymore.

CBS claims that up to 200 people have been killed by these "non-lethal" tasers.

Update: My mom emails me with a perspective I had not considered.

I saw the
video this morning as I was getting ready for work. This sub-human is nothing
better than a rapist. This pig was rapping this woman. Look at his body
language, his face, he is enjoying every minute of his power show. He is loving
his control of her, his power over her, her life is in his hands. He is loving
every minute of hurting her. Exactly the mind set of a sexual rapist. This
woman was absolutely no threat to this beast at all. I sat and cried as I
watched another women being raped.

Note to the pig, Richard Kovach: You know, the Japanese have a long tradition in redemption for bringing this kind of shame upon one’s self. Look into it.

I'd like to believe that, dad, but as Billy Beck pointed out to me once, this would be true if the "good" cops themselves were leading the charge in both exposing this sort of thing and rooting it up. They're not. They're police-thug sycophants — all — who stick up for each other and post death threat on message boards when "one of their own" gets caught up in something like this.

Until they — if there are any "good" ones left — get in there and really seriously begin to clean up their own act in a highly visible and transparent way — ruthlessly — then every single last one of them can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone who is part of a group defined by some kind of choice – occupation, religious beliefs, etc. – is morally responsible for the evil deeds of others who claim to be acting under the group's principles *unless* they actively distinguish themselves from them, withhold their sanction from those individuals, and do all they can to see that those individuals are held responsible.

Continuing to support the group when it fails to do any of these makes a person morally (though not necessarily legally) culpable for the actions of the others in the group.

And if you chose to be part of the group, you can choose to not be part of it. It's *your* choices that you are morally responsible for, and if you are a cop today, after seeing that video and others like it, you have a choice to make. Hundreds of thousands of you have so far chosen not to act.

Oh, most of them have chosen alright. Look at those numerous police message boards that have recently come to light, including the "professional courtesy" whining that's come up just today.

And they'll be choosing on the evening news when this comes up and they have their policemen association spokesmen come up and try to feed the line that "most cops are good," and not to "judge all by the actions of a few bad apples."

They're all pigs. Every single one of them until this changes drastically, or until those who don't want to be pigs any longer, and can't get things changed, leave.

So: if you're a cop, you're a pig. Do something to change it, and if you do, you won't be a pig, any longer. If you can't change it, then you'll have to quit in order to stop being a pig.

You said it exactly right, these kind of cops are pigs and should be tried for assault with a deadly weapon, the evidence is there, for everyone to see.

On the other side, I still believe that the vast majority of cops are good and decent people, who don't deserve to be put in the same category with these dirty criminal element of police officers. Many police officers go through an entire career and never use their guns, except on the practice range.
