Christmas at the Cabin

A pic Beatrice took. Rotor is by the fire and Nuke, in the cat bird seat where she likes it. She’s the guardian, though she’s become accustomed to sleeping with me under the covers nearly every night, but only after 3-4PM when she wakes me up with her whine, asking permission. I never turn her down.

Very nice picture! My dog does not ask permission… because he knows he won’t get it. LOL. What he does is go on the couch, until we get near, then he jumps down like nothing happened.

    Great pic.

We had our first Christmas in about 15 years without any dogs. Rocky, the red heeler we had to put down in August and it was a quite (too quite) Xmas. You have a nice place up there and from the look of things you had a nice peaceful time. Thanks for sharing that.

It’s funny how they ask permission, isn’t it? My dog asks permission to get on the couch with us when we are home. He stands there wagging his tail furiously and will not jump up unless we say OK. Yet when he is home alone all day, he definitely is up there most of the time (given away by squished pillows and the doggie nose prints on the window behind the couch).

Have a great New Year, Richard! Looking forward to more FTA!

Our little dogs used to wait until we were asleep to sneak into the bed and burrow under the covers. Then we got them a nice new plush bed and I notice they aren’t getting into the bed now.

BTW, maybe it’s the angle of the photograph, but the tree looks like it’s right next to the wood stove.
