Like a Bunless Burger at Burger King: Have it Your Way

When you get in a rut, first procrastinate. There’s virtue in that, so long as you know that you eventually have to do something to get out of it. Don’t procrastinate taking action because you’re lazy, do it to be smart. Deliberate, think about it until such time as you can’t not act. At that point, your motivation will be aligned with what’s probably a good idea and most certainly, far better than the one you’d have gone off half-cocked about—believing the banal regurgitate of a bromide that procrastination is a flaw of character.

Procrastination is for smart people. Be smart people. (And don’t quibble with me over the definition. I know what it is, you know what I mean, and it’s my blog.)

Anyway, the changes I blogged about yesterday were the result of such a “procrastination”—about six month’s worth. It was only a couple of weeks ago that the daily regular deliberation finally gelled, and I knew what needed to be done. And because all is so clear to me now, none of this seems difficult at all—even in the face of some big plans in the works. What might have been mundane detail and busy work before, is now exciting because I can see how each piece fits into the whole I’ve set my target on.

OK, so, for the next phase, you now get to have it your way.

Rather than try to clutter up the sidebar of the blog with all these various subscription options, I decided to create a page for them. Why so many options? Because I blog about a lot of different things and just don’t want more than one blog; and plus, most of what I blog about is from the perspective of the human animal (Free the Animal) and its biological and social evolution.

Another reason is that some people love what I write in certain areas, but totally hate & loath what I write in others—me too, sometimes. So, now, everyone has the option to have it their way instead of whining about it. Subscribe to all of it or only some of it, but in any case, all of what you want and none of what you don’t. Just one more way to help you help yourself, so be my guest.

That’s the intro to the page I just created that you go to when you click on that orange thingy over to the the right: Post RSS, Posts by Email and Other Networks and Connections. There’s even an option to get all comments in one email every day. Some people have asked for that actually, obviously digest subscribers back in the popular days of email lists.

I already know what tomorrow will bring. I’d actually like to get started now, at 11:30pm, but prudence dictates rack time. Crap for sleep last night. Guess why: thinking about what today was going to bring.

…Oh, almost forgot: Happy Valentines Day from this misogynist. Hope you all had a nice dinner with a personal Valentine, as I did.

    I’ll definitely be signing up to hear it all! There are too few blogs that touch even a single topic I’m interested in and yet Richard, you tie them all together. Still impressed after many years…
