Pareto, man. 80/20. Or 90/10, or whatever you like and are comfortable with; but beyond that you're surely going to be hitting the tar pit of diminishing returns in any added cost/ marginal benefit analysis.
When you get in a rut, first procrastinate. There's virtue in that, so long as you know that you eventually have to do something to get out of it.
When you're in a slump, what do you do but get out of it? How do you get out of it but change what you're doing to something else, calculated to be better?
