Life Update: Richard Visits Beatrice and Doggies

November 19, 2018 10 Comments

About a month ago I popped down to Southern California on a whim to visit Beatrice and the doggies and stayed a week. Here’s what went down, in pictures and video.

Beatrice and I went to lunch on the Oceanside marina.

We walked the dogs on the beach at Del Mar.

I discovered The Cave of Virginity Lost.

We did LOTS of dog walking.

I took a walk on the beach in “The Land of the Free.”

Beatrice cared about birds, not just dogs.

I started to make a sandwich, Jambon Beurre.

I kept making it.

I finished it.

We shopped motorhome RVs and that’s the one I want for nomadic life.

Don’t let your brains fall out. “Sometimes, all it takes is one PRAYER to change everything.”

We walk even more on the beach, with the doggies.

There’s more. No more than a mile or so from her place is an iFly franchise. So, I took her over, on me, and then induced her to buy a package of 10 more flights. She’s a natural. She took instruction and was solid. I don’t listen and so, my video has me bouncing all over the place.

And finally, on the drive back, I give you a political shitstorm about the Kavanaugh Senate Confirmation hearings.

I think that’s about it.

Yay! Hi Bea! Hi doggies! :-) I’ve so enjoyed seeing you guys over the years.

Me…. I’m recovering from cancer surgery. My husband is looking after me. My doggie, is sleeping beside me. I was blindsided. I do believe that cancer is a problem of metabolism. But I’ve also had so much stress these past few years. I was on the right track. I went to the doctor but they dismissed my symptoms. I’m going to be ok. I’m researching successful non toxic treatments.

    Be kind to each other.

Is that a rattie, Natasha? If so, must be a male, because they’re the most needy and cuddly. Our female, “Nuke The Cat,” is as aloof as a cat.

      Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I'm Richard Nikoley. Free The Animal began in 2003 and as of 2020, has 5,000 posts and 120,000 comments from readers. I blog what I wish...from lifestyle to philosophy, politics, social antagonism, adventure travel, nomad living, location and time independent—"while you sleep"— income, and food. I intended to travel the world "homeless" but the Covid-19 panic-demic squashed that. I've become an American expat living in rural Thailand where I've built a home. I celebrate the audacity and hubris to live by your own exclusive authority and take your own chances. [Read more...]
