I have too much food backlog stuff and being creative, I want to put it out there, perhaps help some of the fine eating establishments here in south Phuket, Thailand.
This morning I decided to head over to Wilson’s Cafe, five minutes away, and why not just take you on a motorbike ride, too?
I really have come to love the simple poached eggs on toast (80 baht), and a side of bacon (40 baht). That 120 baht sets me back $3.90. Sometimes I pop for tomatoes, so I’m a little over $4.
Now the reason I’ve come to like this dish so much for breakfast is I feel good, after. The eggs are perfect free range with orange yolks, they poach them perfect every time, and the bread is fresh baked daily, European crusty-crust style.
See for yourself.
Did I not tell you?
They also do some fancier fare.
The classic benedict was for me. And, yea, perfectly poached eggs. The grilled chicken was for my Thai-Chick Unit. She liked it so much she had me bring her back a few days later to have it again. Amazing for an Issan country girl for whom if it doesn’t generally burn your mouth off and then other anatomy in the hours to follow, “it hab noting.”
